Life is funny, isn't it? Just when you feel like you've got everything sorted and you're cruising along life's stream, there comes a moment when you're suddenly doggie paddling to stay afloat, reaching out desperately for anything to pull you back in.
The unpredictable nature of life is what keeps us on our toes, making every moment exciting and full of surprises? However, there are times when these unexpected twists and turns leave us pondering our beliefs and questioning whether the universe is truly on our side.
My spirituality has undoubtedly been a important anchor for my mental well-being for as long as I can recall. However in all honesty, at times, certain life experiences have caused me to question my higher power.
It's a terrible place to be when something that's been crucial for your mental well-being suddenly gets questioned. Dealing with a major life event that completely throws you off course and feeling like you're drifting away from that one thing that has always kept you grounded. It's truly a challenging spot to find yourself in.
Traumatic and life-changing events can leave us wondering why they happen. Many of us, wish for a clear sign from above to make sense of it all, at that very moment. To have a divine light shine down during those tough moments to provide much-needed clarity and understanding.
While I may not have the magical ability to unlock the mysteries of the universe for you, I do believe that I am ultimately better mentally when I believe in trusting that their is a bigger force working on my behalf. In my own journey, I've found that trusting in a greater plan has brought me peace and positivity even on the toughest days. For me, not believing in something bigger than myself can really limit my ability to overcome the obstacles I face. It's important to have faith or trust in something greater, whether it's a higher power, inner strength, or a supportive community. In our journey through life, hope serves as our essential anchor, keeping us afloat when faced with the turbulent waters of doubt and uncertainty. We need hope to provides us with the resilience to navigate through life's challenges, because without the belief, we will drown.
As I wrap up this blog post, I can't help but leave you with one of my favorite quotes from one of my top movies: "Beginnings are scary, Endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most, try to remember that when you find yourself at the beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up, and it will.'' - Birdie, Hope Floats
